Some numbers

Happy New Year. Let's start it off with some numbers, why don't we?

  • Toilets I had to plunge on January 1: 2, each twice
  • Days in a row I've been sick: 4.5
  • Doctor's visits I've had this year: 1 (today. I don't have strep throat but boy it feels like I do)
  • Number expected in the month of January: 4
  • Copays to be paid in January: $80 (including today's)
  • Different pills I am taking regularly: 7 (amoxicillin, iron, vitamin C, multivitamin, colace, fiber (these last two are to counteract the effects of the iron 3x a day), advil cold and sinus).
  • Pills I was taking regularly last year at this time: 0 (though if I was taking iron, I probably would not be in this position.)
  • Amount I've spent on feminine products in the past 3 days: $20 (Yes, I got my period. I know it was a possibility but I had my fingers crossed that it was going to skip, which brings me to the next number...)
  • Times I had to change my pants on January 1: 3. And one pair was a really nice new pair of baby blue velour pants. I hope they're not ruined. Reminds me of the fun time I had to go to Target at lunch to buy new pants and they had literally one pair left in the store. I bought them; they were too big. It was summer - I guess they think people only want to wear capris in the summer.
Needless to say, I'm feeling pretty grouchy.

P.S. I found out why I didn't hear from the endocrinologist's. The secretary was on vacation last week. I was asked to be patient and I'd hear over the next few days. What service!

I'm thinking you should start watching Freaks & Geeks ASAP. You deserve a treat.

Thanks for the support! I watched My Super Ex Girlfriend today that Dana rented for me and Mom brought me some soup, ginger ale and peanut butter cookies! I think I can go back to work tomorrow, since I've added Robitussin Cough and Cold, both daytime and nightime, to the list of drugs.
