Guess who doesn't have cancer?

(said in singsong voice)

I got the results of my fine-needle aspiration today (the throat thing, for those of you who are following my health problems - my big big audience that is in the single digits!). The cells they took from both nodules were normal!!! They are normal thyroid nodules that should be followed in case they change. I'm going back in June for another ultrasound.

This is fantastic news! Now I can actually relax on my trip to Vegas. It's a work trip, and I'll be in a workshop for 3 days, and then at a conference for 1 and a half, but still, my nights are mine, and my mind won't be wandering.

Oh really, your mind won't be wandering? Not at all?

What exactly is the difference between a workshop and a conference, anyway?

Well, okay, I'm being optimistic about that. I'll probably have a hard time focusing on learning, given all the distractions. I hear that there's a huge mall on the strip, and an outlet mall right outside.

I'm doing a 3 day workshop, after which I'll get a certificate in Human Performance Improvement. It's consulting. Then, the conference is all about training, and elearning, and they have different sessions and vendors etc.

Congrats! That's excellent news. I'm excited about your certificate and hoping you'll be able to improve my human performance. It's seriously lagging.
