FNA

Today I had an FNA, aka fine-needle aspiration, for my thyroid cysts. That's when they insert a needle into you to extract cells and/or fluid from lumps/cysts and/or nodules. Then they look at the cells to see if the cysts are benign or malignant. I'll find out next week.

They called me at home this morning, around 8:55 am, so it's a good thing I was running late for work. It's so rare that I'm late so it was lucky. (insert tongue in cheek here)

I'll be wearing a turtleneck to work tomorrow.
