Rant
As if it's not enough that I have to go to the doctor's at least once a week, each time paying $20 copay and $2 to park (except for t-goddammit, that mcdonald's commercial is on again- except for the day I forgot to get my ticket validated and had to pay $3 because I was there for more than 2 hours), I have now received 2 bills from the hospital claiming I owe them money. One's for a copay which I SWEAR I paid and one is for $76.78, for a Level 4 New PT Visit - OB/GYN. I'm thinking that's for the reproductive endocrinologist, for which I already paid the Copay and the insurance co. said it was totally covered when I called them. So what the fuck? The bill shows the insurance paid for $36.22, which is 32.05%. Makes no sense.
Then, the copay bill. Apparently I had a $20 balance carried over, who the hell knows from what, (but I think I mailed in that payment because the first time I went to the specialist for the fibroids, they didn't charge me, then I got a bill and realized they just made a mistake) then a Resp Party Payment for $20 (is that me? who is that?), some insurance co. adjustments, and more copays. There are 10 line items, not in chronological order. It's like they're trying to make it more complicated than it already is.
Tomorrow, after I go to my second appointment for the week*, I'll make some calls. Oh wait, I have to go to work. I have no time to deal with this shit.
*just an annual exam. no need to worry about me. unless... oooh maybe they'll find something else wrong with me. keeping my fingers crossed that they don't.
