Spendathon

The new hairstyle is a hit with everyone except me. If I hadn't had to wear my glasses for the entire month of January, and into February, I'd have had time to try to play with the bangs and make them look not-so-dorky. Instead, I feel like all I do is push them out of the way and die to get home and take my glasses off and go to bed, with my hair pulled up and back. nothing on my face. nothing. god, it feels good.

But... I do like to look nice, and so I've bought quite a variety of hair products to attempt a stylish look. I'm going to a baby shower on Saturday and out on Saturday night so they better work. I've got volumizing shampoo and conditioner, hairspray (i'm thinking it might not have been the right stuff. maybe too stiff? though it says it won't be stiff. "Touchable hold" and if it keeps the bangs fancily swept to the side, i'll be happy) and root lifter. All these products for the bargain price of around $50.

Gone are the days of AquaNet Extra Super Hold and lots of teasing with the box-dyed hair. Oh, those high school days of yore. They WERE easier in some respects.
