Babies

I went to a baby shower today for my friend M. She's 33 weeks and looks great! I can only hope to look that good if I ever get pregnant.

The good thing about this baby shower, as opposed to one I went to a few months ago, is that is was full of people, it was totally noisy, lots of things going on, and my other friends who I don't see a lot were there, so we could catch up. Yes, the focus was on M, and on opening presents, and seeing the new nursery/bedroom etc. The last shower I went to was at a restaurant, and it was all about watching the mom-to-be open presents. As the afternoon went on, I became more and more sad about how my cousin, 5 years younger than me, was married, and about to have a baby, and I wasn't even close to any of that. Today, I didn't feel that way. My singleness, and childlessness was not so apparent.

I just wonder if I'm going to be the cat lady.
