The Waiting is the Hardest Part

This morning I had an ultrasound on my throat, to check out the mysterious bump. The ultrasound technician said it looks like some cysts, one of which had filled with fluid and collapsed. I have an appointment with my primary care doctor next week to get the whole scoop. I'm going to try not to think about it. But now I feel like I can feel the cysts growing and taking over. I focus on my throat and drink a lot (water, not beer) to try to shake the feeling.

Why is this happening? Apparently cysts and nodules, and fibroids, are common, and are often just a nuisance. But why do they start? I'm holding back on researching this stuff online, because I can't take any worst case scenario stress-inducing stories. Instead, while grocery shopping on the way home from work, I decided to buy milk without artificial growth hormones in it. Maybe that's what's leading to these extra things growing inside me. So, hormone-free milk oughta cure that. Though the chemical-laden pepperoni I put on my pizza, that can't be good.

I know. There's no passing up pepperoni. I don't care what's in it.
